Snowflakes on weeds

You never now when ice conditions will get really good so you just have to keep checking! Saturday morning I found sun, hoarfrost, and very light snowflakes due to a cold front and just enough moisture. It made for easy handheld macro shots. When it's really cold, you have to think fast for compositions to optimize your time out shooting. But it always seems so worth it afterward when I see the ice close up. And being outside on a sunny day in any temp is always a treat.
