Macro in 0 Degrees

Yesterday, I went into the bog before sunset which is 4 PM right now. Sunset in Fairbanks is at 3:30 PM and it's closing in on us until the solstice! It can be a very strange time because it is so cold and dark. But if I get outside for even 30 minutes, I always feel better and most especially when I see something that inspires me to pull out my camera and fiddle with taking photos. I know I'll lose feeling in my fingers within a minute or two so you have to work quickly and then put your camera on your chest because it will slow down considerably in the cold and then just stop. Then you warm your hands as best as you can. But when I pull up ice images on my screen, I feel elated at the intricate detail otherwise barely seen with ones eye. And who doesn't love light filled bokeh!
